My Non-Toxic Skincare Routine

As someone with hypersensitive skin, I am always on the look-out for all natural skincare finds. This search has been amplified by recent research that has been published on potential endocrine disrupters and chemicals that can be found in products we apply to our body every day. As the largest organ in our body, and one that is porous with quick absorption, we should be extra cautious as to what we apply to our skin as products hardly just sit on the surface. Some toxins you may see on ingredient labels that you should do your best to avoid include: synthetic fragrances, phthalates, parabens, sulfates, PFAs, lead and other heavy metals, and formaldehyde. There are several helpful apps that can help you de-code labels of cosmetic products and determine their safety, such as the EWG Healthy Living App developed by the Environmental Working Group. Choosing products that are deemed non-toxic and all natural are not only beneficial to you, but to your pets and the planet as well.

I am still learning how to make my lifestyle more natural and safe for my body and the environment. Currently, this is what my morning and evening skincare routines look like with non-toxic products that I enjoy. Let me know if you have any input or product suggestions :)
